Wakas/Uta

Summer

Old rainbow flowers
Change to reveal only green
Glistening in sun
How long will this lushness
Hide from the dark days of ice?
***************************
My Old Kentucky Home

Kentucky: a state
Weirdos in every corner
This does not surprise
Normality is very rare
No one can ever change that
***************************
Ballroom

Flowing dress tresses
Curving downwards around your body
Morphing your small silhouette
Enough to feel beautiful
If only for a moment
***************************
Evening

Deformed by skylines
The sun's rays strain to be seen
Highlighting the sky
The light will always make part
But the colors remembered
***************************
Rebirth

Clouds cover the sky
Warning of a raging storm
Lightning flashes down
When the torrents cease attack
New beauty is uncovered
